Stigma

A very cool and well-done Gothic-themed painting! The raven adds a nice touch of darkness to the scene, and the choice to use a cathedral-like backdrop is equally an inspired idea. This has a deliciously medieval feel to it, but it is very fantasy-like rather than real-world and that is a good thing indeed since it makes this portrait very vibrant in the mind's eye. All in all, I love it! The eyes of the woman are very striking too, almost of an otherworldly quality, which completes the image in an interesting fashion. Beautiful work! Very worthy of a fave.
